Hello world!

There is no greater agony than bearing an untold story inside you. – Maya Angelou

I’m sure every writer can relate to this. I know I can. Some days I relate better than others. I have a story I’m working on right now that makes me relate to this so hard. Some of you may think writing is easy. For some people, it may be. For others, though, it is very, very difficult. We work hard and still it’s not good enough for some people.

The wonderful thing about being a writer in this century is that you can self-publish whenever you want to. You don’t have to wait for a publishing company to accept your book. If you believe in your book, it will get out. Nothing stands in your way. Except you.

Imposter Syndrome: the persistent inability to believe that one’s success is deserved or has been legitimately achieved as a result of one’s own efforts or skills (THANK YOU OXFORD DICTIONARY!)

I’m pretty sure every author has experienced this. This is something I constantly struggle with. As of yet, I haven’t “legitimately achieved” something, but I never will if I don’t believe in myself. Do you believe in yourself?
